Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

The service

Leaving Cert Business (businessleavingcert.com) provides revision resources for Leaving Certificate Business: chapter notes and posters, exam-style practice, quick quizzes and a personal tutor. It is run by Ian O'Herlihy and is independent of the State Examinations Commission (SEC) and the NCCA. Sample questions are our own examples; long questions are standalone adaptations from the two SEC Higher Level sample papers with site-written answer plans, not official marking schemes.

Accounts

You need an account to track progress and access Premium content. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you are under 18, use the site with a parent or guardian's knowledge.

Free and Premium access

  • Free accounts include full access to Chapters 1 and 8.
  • Premium is a one-off payment of €25 (VAT included) that unlocks all chapters and features for two years from the date of purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
  • Class codes may be issued by teachers to give their students free Premium access for a set period. Codes are for the teacher's own students and must not be shared publicly.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. The price you see at checkout is the total you pay — €25 including VAT. Because Premium is digital content with immediate access, the usual 14-day cooling-off right is lost once you start using Premium content. If something goes wrong with a payment or you believe you were charged in error, contact us through the contact form and we will put it right.

Acceptable use

  • Use the site for your own study or teaching.
  • Do not copy, republish or resell the notes, posters or questions.
  • Do not share your account or class codes beyond their intended group.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it, or access other users' data.
  • Do not submit personal details about other people through the tutor or contact form.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Our content

All notes, posters, questions and answer plans on the site are owned by Leaving Cert Business and are provided for personal, non-commercial study. Podcast episodes are embedded from Spotify and remain subject to Spotify's own terms.

The personal tutor

The personal tutor answers from the site's own notes and posters. It can make mistakes and is not a substitute for a teacher, the official syllabus or past papers. Always check important answers against our notes.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be flagged on the site. We keep payment records for seven years and contact messages for 12 months; the Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled. Questions? Use the contact form. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
